I’m the Service Hydrologist for the St. Louis hydrologic service area, gathering data from last summer’s flooding. The Kansas City area SH sent me the link to your website for northern Missouri flooding. I’ve been able to pinpoint a few of your pictures using Google Maps, but I have a few questions.

Is the Highway C in these pix the one running between Purdin and New Boston in Linn County, and would this creek, then, be West Yellow Creek or Long Branch? Or would it be the Highway C in Sullivan County between Milan and Mystic? Or is it another county?

    Thanks for your help,

    Mark,

This is Highway C between Purdin and Route M in Linn County; the creek is Long Branch. It overflows quite a bit during rainy season.
