Small town living in the Great Midwest, with my beautiful wife Jeannie Marie and our kids Briana, Jordan, Jonathan, and Kelsey. We watch the sidewalks roll up at 5PM and leisurely walk the streets to the sound of crickets chirping and neighbors chatting. What a wonderful life, indeed.

Rich, Thanks for flood photos. Scary! We are part owners in a large grain farm bordering parts of Swan Lake Refuge. Often drive 5 from our home in the Des Moines area to where it joins 139. We are concerned about the floods effect on crops. What creek is flooding in your photos? I guess it to be north of Laclede and West of Highway 5. Thanks, Mike

That photo is of Muddy Creek just north of Laclede on Route 5…but, just to let you know, ALL the creeks down here are now flooding; we’re expecting rain through Friday evening, possibly 2 or more inches. We received 2 more inches last night and about an inch today.
