End of the Week Musings…

What I find amazing is that there has not been one single comment on the newspaper column concerning the Pledge of Allegiance. That is a topic which usually inflames a lot of people, and I was SURE that there would be some who left their two cents worth.

So, what does it mean? Are people just apathetic anymore and don’t care one way or another? People too apprehensive to write about their own viewpoints? If those are the reasons, then this is a sad world indeed that we live in.

We need to stand up for what we believe in. We need to have a voice; one that cries out in the wilderness of a lost and dying world to point the way to God. We need to put our foot down and say that we’re not going to give in to the ways of this world and…

OK, enough preaching.  🙂

In other news around the Davis household: getting new music to sing at our testimonial service on Sunday evening (the 15th) at Freedom Baptist Church in Brookfield; also have been asked to sing at a wedding there the day before. Plus, still trying to work on some sermons for the 15th and 22nd at First Christian Church in Marceline.

Doing a top-to-bottom house cleaning this weekend (weather permitting) and some outside yardwork; Kelsey cheers in her last home game on Saturday late afternoon. Besides that, just enjoying the cool weather.

That’s our week in a nutshell!
