Wow. This year has been flying by; here it is November, and only 1 1/2 months to go before 2007.
2006 has been been a watershed year in the Davis household; lots of things going on, decisions being made in terms of me entering the ministry full-time, making preparations and organizing our household in order to pull Kelsey out of the public education system to homeschool her, and also going through the necessary classes and paperwork to become foster parents in the state of Missouri.
People ask us why we are doing all of this; aren’t we busy enough with everything else we are doing? And our answer right back at them is this: we feel in our hearts that God requires us, as Christians, to be always vigilant in doing His work here on earth, no matter how much it may seem to “inconvenience” us. And, in reality, God ALWAYS gives us the time to be able to accomplish everything He asks us to do. He promises that He will never give us more than we are able to bear.
So, this next year looks to be quite remarkable; we’re excited and looking forward to seeing God do great things in our lives. It will be quite a journey, and we’re trusting in the Lord to show us the way.
Pray for us!
