North MO Flooding Update

Well, we certainly were blessed that the flooding in our area wasn’t worse.

Rivers in northern Missouri crested a few feet short of the records set back in 1993; while this DID put some parts of U.S. 36 and 65 highways under water for a few days and made travel hazardous in some areas, the water levels were thankfully lower than anticipated.

Here are a few flood pics from the MoDOT (Missouri Dept. of Transportation) website.

Rivers and streams are contiuing to go down from the near-record crests; the forecast calls for some rain tomorrow but not enough to raise the water again.
